ICJS will also be accepting applications for addition Certified Crime Prevention Instructors.

Qualifications:

All ICJS Adjunct instructors must be able to demonstrate at minimum the following qualifications:

  • TCLEOSE Basic Instructor Certification *
  • Experience (2 years or >) in the area of instruction
  • Training- appropriate to the area of instruction
  • Education –appropriate to the area of instruction
  • Attitude –focused on delivering outstanding training to our fellow Peace Officers (student focused orientation)

* An exception can be made where the applicant holds credentials that match the needs of a specialized area of training. Examples:

  • Juris Doctorate –teaching legal block
  • M.D. or Ph.D. in Psychology or specialized certification with expertise in Behavioral Assessment, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), or Conflict Resolution.

Compensation

  • Provide the Contract Instructor payment at a rate of $650.00/day of actual instruction (inclusive of all related expenses, except hotel). In the case where two instructors agree to co-instruct during the same training day the fee will be split at $325.00/day per instructor.
  • Provide direct bill payment for hotel costs (if applicable) at the current/regional government rate.
  • Provide a training location and appropriate supporting materials as determined by ICJS.
  • Provide an ICJS staff member to ensure registration, payment, and the initiation of TCLEOSE paperwork during training.
  • Provide a one time, $200. 00 travel stipend for distances traveled beyond 200 miles from the instructor’s address of home residence.
