Mission

The Research Services Section as part of the Division for Law Enforcement, Homeland Security, and Institutional Research at the Texas School Safety Center facilitates research in the area of school safety, security, and preparedness in Texas public schools and community colleges.

Goals:

  1. Publish a body of knowledge that shapes school safety best practices and public policy.
  2. Utilize research findings to improve the quality, relevance, and applicability of our trainings and conferences.
  3. Expand private and public partnership in the areas of research as well as collaborate across academic disciplines
